CultSwitch Channel Manager Now With Trip.com Interface

Marketing of rooms on one of the world’s leading online travel platforms

Berlin, 25 November 2020. CultSwitch has implemented an interface to Trip.com (formerly Ctrip) for its hotel channel manager of the same name. CultSwitch users can now offer their accommodations through one of the world’s largest online travel agencies (OTAs) with hundreds of millions of customers in China and around the world. This is particularly beneficial for hotels, guest houses or hostels in cities and tourist destinations.

Trip.com belongs to the Trip.com Group (until 2019 Ctrip International), the largest OTA in China and one of the leading travel service providers worldwide with more than 400 million registered members. Via the trip.com website and a mobile app, vacation and business travelers can book accommodations, flights and train tickets. The platform offers powerful search options as well as travel tools such as price alerts, offer calendars and early bird offers. The website and app are available in many languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Korea.

With CultSwitch, hoteliers can now become part of a worldwide network of over 1.4 million hotels in 200 countries and regions that can be booked through Trip.com. Trip.com offers its partner hotels full control over prices, rules and restrictions, 24/7 support and extensive information about market trends, guest history or guest ratings, among other things.

Founded in 1999 as Ctrip.com in Shanghai, the travel company has been rebranded as Trip.com Group in October 2019. In addition to Trip.com, the group also operates the metasearch engine Skyscanner from Scotland and maintains commercial cooperations with Booking Holdings and TripAdvisor.

“Destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are very popular with Asian travelers, and Trip.com is the number one choice for many of them,” explains Robert Reinsch, Head of Customer Care and Partner Management at CultSwitch. “This makes Trip.com an excellent marketing channel for accommodation providers, able to provide valuable support for the recovery process in the tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic”.
